Cha Siu (Barbecued Pork) Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb of pork butt (lean)
1/4 tsp of salt
1/16 of black pepper
1-1/4 Tbsps of sugar (white)
2 tsps of soy sauce (thin)
1 tsp of salt (roasting)
1-1/2 tsps of Hoisin sauce
1-1/2 tsps of Oyster sauce
2 tsps of wine (white)
1 Tbsp of honey (pure)
1 c of water for roasting

Instructions:

Slice the meat to 5×2x1 inch pieces. Combine salt, black pepper, sugar, soy sauce, salt, Hoisin sauce, Oyster sauce, white wine, and honey. Sprinkle the marinade onto the meat and let it rest inside refrigerator for over a night or minimum of five hours.

Preheat the oven, 375 degrees F. Add water inside a (roasting) pan and place it inside the oven. Place the pork directly on the rack; roast at about half an hour per side; while basting frequently, don’t cover.
