Lone Star Ribs and Bbq Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
3 lbs of pork (small ribs)
Salt
Paprika
Pepper (black)
4 tsps of sugar
1 Tbsps of salt
1.5 tsp of pepper
2.5 tsps of paprika
1.5 tsp of chili (powder)
1.5 tsp of barbecue smoke (liquid)
1/3 c of flour
2 c of khup
1 c of Worcestershire
1 Tbsp mustard (prepared)
1.5 pint of water
Instructions:
Use salt, paprika and black pepper for the pork ribs as seasoning. Grill pork on a covered barbecue grill far from the heat to allow smoke to cook the pork. Grill slowly for an hour and a half to two hours ’til the meat cuts away easily from the bone. Baste each side of the pork with the sauce for the remaining 15 minutes of grilling time. Carve pork to serve.
For the sauce, mix water and khup into a pot to let it boil. Combine sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, flour, mustard, smoked liquid and one half Worcestershire. Mix in the remaining sauce after mixture turns to paste.
Add this to the heated water and khup. Let this boil for another 20 minutes. Unused sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for a few weeks. This yields approximately 1 quart.
