Barbecued Pork Recipe 2
Ingredients:
3 Tbsps of honey
1 Tbsps of soy sauce (low-sodium)
2 Tbsps hoisin sauce (commercial)
2 Tbsps of catsup (reduced-calorie)
1/8 tsp of five spice powder (Chinese)
1 dr of food coloring (red, optional)
2 pcs of pork (tenderloins, 3/4 lb)
1/4 c of catsup (reduced-calorie)
2 Tbsps of sesame seeds
Instructions:
Combine honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, catsup, five spice and food coloring and mix well. Set it aside. Remove fat off the tenderloins and transfer it to a dish. Coat the sauce over the tenderloins and transfer it to a dish.
Coat the sauce over the tenderloins. Get a lid and put it inside the refrigerator to marinate for 8 hours. Turn occasionally. Transfer pork to a microwave safe rack and save the marinade.
COver the tenderloins using wax or parchment paper. Set microwave to medium or high heat for 7 minutes. Use saved marinade to baste tenderloin and shift rack at a 40 degree angle. Cover it and allow to cook for 6-8 minutes ’til food thermometer reads 160.
Set tenderloin aside. Microwave saved marinade at high-heat ’til sauce simmers. Baste tenderloin and cut to 1/4 inch sizes. Serve with sesame and catsup. This is good for 12 persons.
